Brazilian Serie A giants Corinthians have lost their unbeaten run to Ferroviaria after they were beaten 2-1 in a Campeonato Paulista clash on Tuesday night.
Corinthians drew four games in a row on the back of that loss at Santos before going on an impressive run of four straight games. A draw and a win then followed before the last game which saw Ferroviaria come from behind to beat Corinthians. Camacho had given Corinthians the lead with two minutes remaining in the first half and their opponents didn’t hit back until the last 16 minutes of the game.
Defensive midfielder HigorMeritaoequalised for Ferroviaria on 74 minutes before Alexandre Rodrigues Soares scored the winning goal with a minute left on the clock to give his team victory. Corinthians had drawn five games and won five games over a period of ten matches before the game against Ferroviariaearlier in the week.

The second round of Copa do Brasil saw Corinthians beat Retro on penalties at home to qualify for the next round after the two teams played 1-1. They then defeated Guarani 1-0 away from home in their last game before the Campeonato Paulista clash with Ferroviaria this week.
